Yes, colours, brightness, time intervals, theft protection as well as messages (push notifications) may be set individually via the Ordercube app.

Can I use the Ordercubes outside also?

A:

Yes, the Ordercubes are splashproof and may be used outside without hesitation. In addition, the Ordercubes have light amplifiers that can be switched on in SERVICE or PAY mode to win the battle against sunlight.

How do the Ordercubes recognise to which table they are assigned?

A:

The Ordercube system relies on bluetooth beacons, which must be placed on the bottom of the restaurant tables as table identifiers.

How long does the Ordercube’s battery last?

A:

Depending on the brightness settings, an Ordercube lasts on average 45 hours without having to be charged.

How long does it take to charge the Ordercube?

A:

A charging station is useable both single and in groups of up to 20 stations and fully charges the cubes simultaneously in 6 hours.

Is a tablet for the Table Overview included in the supply?

A:

No, the Ordercube system requires a device which is not included in the supply. The minimum requirements for an iOS device (tablet or smartphone) are: iPhone 8 // iPad 2018 // iPad Mini 4 // iPad Air 2 (iOS 12+) or newer devices. The minimum requirements for an Android device (tablet or smartphone) are: Android 8 or newer devices.

Where is the Ordercube made?

The Ordercube is manufactured in Munich and the surrounding area and is therefore a product made in Germany.

Is the Ordercube already in use?

A:

Yes, thousands of Ordercubes are already in use in restaurants, bars, lounges and hotels.

What kind of statistics does the Ordercube app provide?

A:

With the Ordercube app, average waiting times, workload, average sequence duration, sequence duration per table, average number of interactions and average number of active waitstaff can be analysed.

What data does the Ordercube app collect?

A:

The Ordercube app only collects anonymous data to provide restaurant owners with statistics.

Can I test the system or purchase a sample?

A:

Due to poor experiences in the past, we are not sending out any samples. But in our flexible FLEX model you have the opportunity to send the Ordercubes back until the end of every month, in case you are not convinced.

Q:

What are the minimum/maximum units of Ordercubes that I can order ?

A:

There is a minimum purchase quantity of 10 Ordercubes. There are no limits beyond that.

What requirements must be fulfilled to use the Ordercube system?

A:

The Ordercube system requires at least one device (tablet or smartphone) that is connected to Wi-Fi. The device must not automatically switch to stand-by in case of inactivity so that the Ordercube app can always run in the foreground. The minimum requirements for an iOS device are: iPhone 8 // iPad 2018 // iPad Mini 4 // iPad Air 2 (iOS 12+) or newer devices. The minimum requirements for an Android device are: Android 8 or newer devices.

Q:

What advantages does Ordercube have over other waiter call systems or pagers?

A:

The Ordercube system is much more than a waiter call system. Besides the analogue waiter call lamp the Ordercube waiter call works with a app with live tableplan, wait time, different notifications for “Pay” and “Service”, statistics and much more. Compared to conventional pagern the Ordercube also impresses with modern design and the candle replacement on the table. Since lately there is also an option to integrate other digital tools to the Ordercube: e.g. digital menu, online ordering and payment, feedback form. All these features make the Ordercube unique.
